As dismayed, angry, and heart-broken as I was when Bush stole the election last time, I never wished for his assassination (okay, so Cheney was a good reason to wish Bush a long life). Not only are such comments illegal, but counter to the democracy we struggle to uphold. But then, I doubt people with these thoughts really care about democracy. We’ll see if they’re still this angry when they get their tax break, compliments of Obama. And when their children can afford college. Oh, and don’t forget the health care plan they’ll benefit from.

I’ve had a look in the Book of Revelation and can’t find a mention of the anti-christ. I hope they aren’t a biblical literalist or that would be embarassing for them.

Someone else who hasn’t read the book; it’s educating and politicising the working class and trade unions that’s Marx’s formula. Unless there’s a socialist Karl Marks who suggests the universities and press are the best target.

Luckily, we can all remember that this is a vocal minority. After all, Obama won by a landslide. However, these people scare me. They are the reason I don’t talk politics or religion with just anybody.
