Roger Langridge is a tremendously skilled cartoonist with a heart three sizes larger than that of your average comic artist (metaphorically speaking of course — that would be a huge health concern).

I can’t think of anyone I would rather see drawing the muppets!

Langridge’s Muppet art, frankly, looks like crap to me. But then a lot of Muppet art looks like crap. The Henson co., in years gone by, used to let a lot of hideously off-model stuff crawl out onto various books and merchandising, which gave me the idea that basically Henson didn’t care what stuff with the Muppet name on it looked like – their attitude seemed to be that if it had the Muppet name, the public would gobble it up. No wonder they faded from the public’s affections.
