Okay, well, I can certainly understand a bit of passion when it comes to your favorite stories and characters. Lord knows I grumble when some of my favorite characters are written poorly. But I have my limits. “the Azure Cascade” does not:

I’m sure writer Gail Simone is happy. I’m sure she’s so thrilled she’s investing in kevlar vests because Wonder Woman fans are psychotic. From the comments:

Simone herself responded to the original post, because she’s Gail Simone and generally pretty hip to the “online interaction” thing. She basically fell all over herself to explain the situation and ask for people to consider context. “the Azure Cascade” took this to be Simone “chastising” her.

  2. scans_daily is the toilet of the comics community. I mean sure, there’s the basement-dwellers on Newsarama and the Deadpool-worshipping retards on 4chan, but neither of them are as insufferable as the scans_daily crowd.

  4. I think they’re twitchier than they used to be. It’s one thing to bitch and moan when a favorite character dies or gets raped or something big like that, but now the community seems to fly off the handle at much more minor things like Buffy’s experimentation.

    We have Scans_Daily which is a hive of psudo-feminism Bull Shit. Which I still read, God help me, even if I dont comment any more (Can you beleive “the Azure Cascade” is one of the most respected members there? She’s held up by too many as a pillar of “feminism” despite being one of the more misogynisitic pricks out there. Durning one discussion I had with her she dropped this charming phrase: “Shes just a cock-teaste and she deserves to be treat no better than a stripper” about some super villianess whos’ outfit and body type she disliked. thats classy, that is).

    We have Newsarama which is just unchangingly dull.

    We have 4chan, Which I have yet to look into.

    Theres the Marvel boards which is chocked to the brim with homophobic 14 year olds (God I hope these retards are 14. If there are adults walking around like this, Im going to have to go on some kind of crusade).

    And Girl-Wonder which… well yeah. I dont Like Scans_Daily cause its full of crazy psudo-feminists, so the concept of Girl-Wonder gives me night terrors.

    So… where *is* good to go for fun comic conversation and free scans?
