Look, I still like Star Wars just fine, even if it’s always been second place in my heart to good old classic Trek.  I’ve seen the movies multiple times and even rank Revenge of the Sith above Return of the Jedi.  Hell, I went through a long spell of reading the novels because sometimes, you need some junky pop entertainment that doesn’t tax your brain.  I get why so many people love the mythology that Lucasfilm has created, even if the Imperial fetishism is a bit heavy. That’s why I thought the 3D map that Entertainment Weekly posted on their Popwatch blog was neat — it’s nice to see how all of these fake places relate to one another in a fake galaxy that’s been the setting for such a big chunk of America’s pop culture, you know?

So of course there’s a pissing match in the comments, like, immediately:

Seriously, Star Wars fans.  Never change.
