I enjoy reading the user movie reviews on IMDB because they make me appreciate the inherent value of a culture where freedom of expression and a plurality of viewpoints are cherished. I also enjoy reading them because they make me feel smarter than many of the idiots who post reviews.

Recently I was browsing the comments for No Country For Old Men, a film I enjoyed quite a bit. Asusual, the comments ranged from the orgasmic (“ a haunting masterpiece of transcendent, savage beauty”) to bitterly angry (“worst movie EVER MADE”) with very few comments in between the two extremes. Such is the nature of IMDB.

One of the most hilariously reactionary comments comes from Benoit, an outspoken gentleman from Toronto whose one star review is titled: “From the country that bought you legalized torture…”

Here are some excerpts:

I’m very sorry that the Academy felt it had to crown this kind of demented bloodbath with a prize. This is just more of the same old snuff porn that has been making the rounds of Hollywood since at least “The Godfather”

Benoit does concede that No Country fills a need for the uncultured riff-raff south of the Canadian border:

…giving the dumbed-down US public what they really crave: a virtual murder spree à la Grand Theft Auto with lots of comic book horror.

And he wraps things up with a breathtaking leap of rhetoric, comparing the audience for this film with… well, take a look:

In short, this is just the sort of sadistic entertainment Nazis must have craved after a hard day’s work at Dachau or Büchenwald. So why did we fight and win that war exactly?

Good point, Benoit. WWII is a total wash because adults have the freedom to create and enjoy violent films. This got me wondering what other films Benoit gave one star to, and what films he gave ten star reviews to. I’m all about context – perhaps Benoit’s credibility as a judge of cinema and as a sane person shouldn’t be called into doubt based on one review.

Let’s see…
http://www.imdb.com/user/ur0136588/comments

Uh-oh. Benoit didn’t like Cold Mountain, which in his one-star review he describes as “an abomination.” Let’s see what he comes up with:

Just like the benighted citizens of Ancient Rome amused themselves by watching human beings dismembered for their enjoyment in the arena (…) today’s Americans love nothing more (apparently) than to collectively cuddle up to tales of squalor, gratuitous blood spilling, dehumanized killing, torture and various acts of degradation and wanton barbarity.

That didn’t go well. I wonder if Benoit enjoyed Cronenburg’s Eastern Promises as much as I did?

This film has everything to please an (American) audience avid for sadistic thrills that leave nothing to the imagination and to captivate a generation raised on violent video games

OK, so he didn’t care for it as much as I did. But then, I am an American barbarian. Another one star review from Benoit for this “decadent filth for a jaded, desensitized, morally bankrupt society.”Let’s move on. What did Benoit think of Pan’s Labrynth and anyone who enjoyed it?

This is a gory, harmful, snuff-porn, slasher film masquerading as an art film: Its tagline might as well be “Hey, guys, it’s got subtitles, so you know it’s good for you!” The people who are taken in by this trash are mostly young Americans, ignorant about history or the world around them, and who are fans of violent, sadistic cinema. It was conceived by a man with a troubled mind and no interest in reality, whose main obsessions are violent death and dismemberment. It would appeal to a people who has [sic] repeatedly failed to count the casualties in a war they have started in Iraq because it is good TV entertainment and good business and it is set in a faraway land they couldn’t even pinpoint on a map of the world.

One star for Pan’s Labrynth. Let’s try Kill Bill:

Tarantino would still be popular - and probably more so - if he admitted to having single-handedly warped the minds of all of America’s youth and his responsibility for society’s widespread desensitization to gore, murder, violence and the suffering of others.

Hmm, he didn’t care for that one either, but it’s good to know where to pin the blame for the tragic state of America’s youth. BTW, Canadian kids are doing fine, thank you very much.I think we’ve got a good handle on what Benoit doesn’t like, so to get a more well-rounded picture of his taste in film, let’s check out the films that he did like. Don’t worry, the snuff-porn of The Godfather doesn’t make an appearance.

National Security, the wacky Steve Zahn/Martin Lawrence flick (10 stars):

…this movie is one hell of an action movie and it will go down as an interesting exhibit whenever they write the history of race relations in American movies.

Rob Schneider’s The Hot Chick (10 stars):

I can understand how it could get quite a few bigots’ panties tangled in a knot. Times have not changed much since (was it only two months ago?) `Boat Trip’ died at the box office for roughly the same reasons.

So that’s why Boat Trip didn’t do well – American bigots! I thought it was because it was a shitty movie.Speaking of Boat Trip (10 stars):

This film is very reminiscent of the very best of French farce

Ice Age (10 stars):

Fox rules!

Jeepers Creepers (10 stars) is “an American masterpiece”:

This director is, on the strength of this film alone, one of the finest story-tellers in America.

Larry the Cable Guy’s Delta Farce (10 stars):

Finally, a perceptive comedy about US involvement in Iraq
…its moral is a timely reminder that if it’s freedom and democracy you’re supposed to be fighting for, there is a lot more work to be done close to home than in a country most Americans can’t find on a map. 10 stars.

Benoit from Toronto – dropping knowledge on the savage, ignorant, bloodthirsty American public. Thank God there are folks like him out there to remind us that the movies we enjoy are damning indictments of our Nazi culture. And thank God he’s in Toronto.

Note: Rule #17 is Optional

by pico -d gallo

Long ago the usenet groups for role-playing games had a problem with a user called “Marcus Arronous NRN”. And “tsr0″. And “Hitesh”. And “C++”. And more. It seems that he was a bit vocal and persistent in getting attention about his homemade RPG, Hybrid. Despite the amazing premise of the RPG — everything in it was derived from a single rule! — he couldn’t seem to stir interest in it.

This is probably because Marcus Arronous NRN, et. al. was batshit insane, as was his game.

Hybrid began its life as “the one-sentence RPG”. Then it became the “one-paragraph RPG”. Then he got a web page (be patient, I shall link there in a moment) and it metastasized.

There are now over 500 rules to Hybrid. “Not a problem,” you imagine. “Most RPGs have plenty of rules.” True, but they don’t have rules like this.

RULE # 223: You can using the cloning equation to figure out the # of people that you can effect telepathically. And, you can use the nuclear equation to figure out the radius within which that you can affect others, but you can use topology to increase the maximum distance that you can affect some particular individual. And, the same method of topology, you can, also, generate or simulate singularity (black hole): % = X^X, where X = (C2/M); or, % = Y^Z, where Y = (C1/10) & Z = exponent, which is inverse exponent that is used on his Life Span.

And no, reading rules 0-222 don’t make it any clearer. See for yourself: The Hybrid RPG Website.

You’ll notice that the rules aren’t in order. I assure you that the early rules are in there, just buried. At some point the “rules” become political/societal/just plain crazy observations, instead of anything having to do with the game.

RULE # 228: Pilot Varsity makes an excellent dip pen.

RULE # 229: Rate of $ inflation seems to double every 10 years; cause is due to politically incorrect reasons.

The author is particularly interested in Marvel Comics, and he talks as though the Marvel Universe RPG was the inspiration for Hybrid, but there are also references to other pop culture phenomena in the rules. You’ll come across Star Trek, Digimon, Godzilla, Smallville, Buck Rogers (TV series), Yu-Gi-Oh, Doctor Who, Xena, The Powerpuff Girls, Star Blazers, Wishmaster, and plenty more, including other — actually playable — RPGs.

There are a number of rules that refer to “building a nuclear bomb for the price of a beer can” but I think it’s too soon to worry. The whole thing is like an intricate fractal of crazy; the deeper you look, the more crazy you see.

He’s also very concerned about women.

RULE # 332: Feminism, Pandora’s Box, is the result or side effect of giving away too much rights & powers to women by foolish men & corrupt politicians & western religious fanatics in USA & other Christian nations, with the worst offenders being USA & Israel, which has not only has a white (Russian women) slave trade but Israel may cause World War iii(3) by kidnapping & raping Russian women, and USA with their insane sodomy laws, where some states make it illegal to kiss your own wife or/and girlfriend…

(it goes on for some time.) He then obsesses about rape for a while, opining that “there is no rape if a man rapes his girlfriend, since before feminism, men were allowed to rape his wife, since most women are frigid or have mood swings, as long as she is his girlfriend during the time that he rape his woman, the same if she his wife” (Part of a large digression in Rule #0.)

At one point he develops a new stat for the game: ARV (Anti Rape Variable), for which the value of the US is 4. Islam has an ARV of 2. But before you think this is condoning Islam (note: he doesn’t seem to like Jews either), check out Rule 375, in which the Hybrid RPG has equations to determine the perfect religion. Islam falls short.

It’s easy to think this guy is just having a laugh, just a troll. That’s what the usenet groups used to think. But consider that he’s been at this for at least seven years. He has gone back and revised some of these rules; there are references to current shows such as Dexter in older rules, as well as references to current events. I’ve been popping in on the site for a few years now and can verify that although he was never very woman-friendly (an earlier version of Hybrid allowed players to be a male or an animal but not a woman) the anti-feminism and rape stuff is fairly recent.

If you want to back away now and pretend you’ve never ventured into this man’s mind, I don’t blame you. But if you’d like to see more, then you need to bookmark The Hybrid RPG Blog. Active since 2006, and updated as recently as March 19, the blog traces the continuing development of the Hybrid RPG/the author’s psychosis. The current entry describes Rule 550.0183 which has to do with predicting someone’s GPA, supposedly.

On the one hand, the Hybrid Author is a bizarre man with no communication skills, hatred of women, poor understanding of (but utter faith in) science and math, and encyclopedic knowledge of RPGs, the Marvel Universe, and other pop-culture ephemera. If those things make him crazy, then you’ll need to commit most of the remaining geek world as well.

USA Today, America’s tabloid, reports on an interview with one-time Abu Ghraib guard Lyndie England which was run in the German magazine Stern. England doesn’t appear to show much regret over her actions and in fact seems to find that the problem with Abu Ghraib wasn’t so much that American soldiers were torturing people, but that the media had the audacity to report on it.

Sadly, it seems many of her country people feel the same way…

The cowardly media responsible for this yellow journalism will never take any responsibility. I await a story on 20/20 or 48 hours or 60 minutes to determine why this stupidity was leaked irresponsibly. They should be convicted for murder.

The Abu Ghraib photos that I saw looked no different than the photos that would have been taken at any one of hundreds of US colleges on fraternity initiation Hell nights. It is completely absurd that there was any kind of response to this at all. It was purely a case of opportunistic traitorous Liberal Anarchist carping.

Abu Ghraib was just a bunch of opportunistic Liberal Anarchist carping over nothing. If you got arrested on a traffic violation in this country you’d get treated a lot rougher than the Abu Ghraib prisoners did. JUst a lot of carping and wailing by Liberal Anarchists who hate this country, and who want to tear it down every chance they can get. You Liberal Anarchists are a bunch of traitors. We should deal with you people the way we would have a hundred years ago. Tar and feather you and ride you out of town on a rail.

I’m not a scientist, but it seems to me that if you’re going to deny that Moses actually encountered God on Mount Sinai, then the most obvious and probable alternative is that the story is a legend. Benny Shanon, an Israeli professor of psychology instead posits that Moses was hopped up on goofballs.

You might expect that some believers would not appreciate this theory. You would be absolutely correct. At this writing there are just under 1000 comments, and although I haven’t read them all, I suspect they aren’t all people saying, “Top-rate theorizing, old chap!” Let’s see.

I pity this man when he stands before God in his final judgement. He is in for a BIG let down.

Why does the press print these people? Does the press ever print the Scriptures themselves? And why not quote the hundreds of millions who believe the Bible? Why indeed?

His hatred of God and the Bible won’t help him to be saved or have any more mercy shown to him after death when he answers for his sins at the judgment.

looks like another attempt on the side of the dark to discredit the bible and the factual words that are in it, for God wrote it and I believe it!!!!!!!it was written thingd like this would happen as well as other events and false teachings would happen as well as mis-information, this guy is just another tool in accomplishing this task, but as usual, with no sucess, this guy needs to go to Mt.Siani and do what moses did not do……………JUMP!!!.

WHO IS THIS THAT DARKENS MY COUNSEL WITH WORDS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE?

Its astonishing how Jews time and time again reveal themselves to be the ones who have the most contempt for God and His Word.

Yes…uh-huh…and Samson was on steroids and Jesus Christ ascended into a mother ship from the planet Playtex. What a truly pathetic idiot.

Sometimes things are just better left alone. These are sacred stories.

What a sick, nasty excuse for a man Bennie is. He follows the typical leftist approach of saying bad, baseless things about anybody or anything that is viewed as good by normal people. I predict that he will soon be receiving recruiting calls from his fellow sickos at several American universities.

One reason I believe in God is because of sea horses. They are so cute… Anyway, one does not have to hallucinate to see them, and they still exist. But for how long with the lack of environmental concern? Maybe during Moses’ day, there was a bush that actually burned and did speak from the heavens, or snakes that looked like wood, but maybe they all went extinct? Whatever. I believe Moses over a professor of cognitive psychology…Though historical uses of botanical plants I find interesting. I would be interested in reading a book about uses of botanical plants during that time period and region.

WHY DO YOU THINK THEY CALL IT DOPE???????

ITS A SHAME THESE LOONIES ARE REFERRED TO AS SCHOLARS.I BET HE ONLY TAKES SEASONAL SHOWERS AND DRIVES A OUTBACK SUBARU

There’s plenty more, including Texas primary results, which guns are best for shooting, why liberals hate Fox News, and so forth. You’re welcome to go through it.

And if you want to play the drinking game version, take a drink each time someone

  • accuses the professor of being on drugs instead of Moses
  • remarks that if the professor had said this about Mohammad, the Islamofascists would want him dead
  • trots out Pascal’s Wager

You’ll be unconscious by page six.

The Soulstorm expansion for Dawn of War, a PC real-time strategy game set in the Warhammer 40k universe, was released a couple of week ago. The stand-alone expansion featured two new playable armies and added aerial units to the mix, as well.

Over at Gamespot, the fans reaction to the changes has been mixed. Here are a couple of choice excerpts from the debate.

First we have “midn8t,” doing his best to articulate his feelings (via his thumbs and a broken keyboard, apparently):

warhamemr 40,000 RTS was nice wow it lasted but the thing kills it for me is the zoom level sucks, along wiht fact that I like table top game better.

This expasion pack seems bit weak though. I just wish they would realse the turn based table top game on the PC. it be a killer money making schem, You have the stand alone game for 45 to 50$ comes with one army, and thent they could sell speter army pack booters for 25$ or so each.

but Ill stick wtih my superem commander for a RTS..

“LegionofClouds,” on the other hand, is more concerned about stability and balance issues, not to mention the terrifying prospect of being violated from above:

I kind of feel the air will be unbalanced and make the whole new equation much more harder to balance which will either lead to :
a) A long time and many patches before the air is finally settled into its own niche
OR b) Not balanced at all leading to horrible air rape games

You heard the man — KEEP WATCHING THE SKIES!

Run for your lives men!

On Flickr there’s a community of adult Lego fans showing off the things they’ve built. If you look at photos tagged “lego” you’ll see some amazing creations. Other fans comment on these photos, praising work, giving props to particularly clever piece usage, asking how certain effects were accomplished, and sometimes making suggestions. The atmosphere is quite convivial and positive.

Recently a builder called “Mondayn00dle” uploaded photos of a stunning creation called “Lucy”, a sort of biomechanical nightmare. It’s an incredible piece of work. He wanted to give it a more natural smooth and curved look, which is often difficult to achieve, and he succeeded. But he added some extra curves. Lucy is “female”…the cyborg has breasts. And as a result, suddenly the people commenting on the model are twelve years old.

See if you can guess which of these comments would not be on the photos if it weren’t for two round shapes added to the model’s torso:

lol. These are nice.

I still feel however that the erm… chest looks a bit strange.

In response to Mondayn00dle’s comment that “My goal with this one was to make a more or less correctly proportional humanoid shape,” we get this:

You must live in Hollywood or Vegas :)

Not sure anyone has done thigh high boots in LEGO before…

On the whip, someone added the note:

Dominatrix, too?

And, again, the “breasts” are brought up:

ew mecha shouldnt have cleavage

Heh. Robot boobs.

A note on the model’s “stomach”, which doesn’t look particularly large reads simply:

pregnant?

This was responded to by the sublime:

It’s on a hormonal rampage! Run for your lives men!

In summary, superbubblegum142 says:

nice boobs

None of this, however, takes away from the model, which is a truly impressive piece of work.

America, you all owe me the arrest of Stephen King.

by Brought to you by Carl's, Jr.

Now, Stephen King is a bit of a controversial figure in the realm of American literature. He’s very, very popular and writes a lot of horror and genre fiction, so the snobs tend to look down on him. I’m sure if you’ve read his stuff you might have some issues with his writing as I do, but did you know his atrocities go beyond merely rewriting the first Dark Tower book? Continue on, dear reader, if you dare…

Contrary to all reports about a lone drifter named Mark David Chapman who allegedly shot John Lennon in the back December 8, 1980 you’ll find ample evidence in the back issues of Time, Newsweek, and US News and World Report magazines to suggest otherwise. Namely, that John Lennon was, not only politically assassinated, but that Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and, you’d better sit down, horror novelist Stephen King are the three people who can be proven guilty of the crime. King being the real murderer and Chapman but a look-alike, paid actor misleading you with an absolute hoax, the media in tow.

Yes, proven. Our fearless detective, Steve Lightfoot, immediately figured out that the “story” about John Lennon’s assassination was really just that: a story. And I do mean immediately (please forgive the long quotes, he doesn’t write in any other way):

I then turned to the issues of Time and Newsweek and simultaniously noticed that there was no murder
report in the Dec. 15 issues as they were released Dec. 08, the day of the murder. I also noticed that most of the bold print headlines read like a code about John’s assassination. In Time, for example: ” …Watching civilization slide into barbarism and banality…All The President’s Magazines…Death Trail….Doubletalk…Silencing An Almost Free Press…Jailing The News…The F.B.I.’s Show Of Shows…Unholy Ministry…A Gambler’s Luck Runs Out…Death Comes From The Prime Minister… Defiant Widow In The Dock…”Who’s In?”"Who’s Out?…Fitting together the pieces of a complicated jigsaw puzzle…”
It was the ominous headline “Who’s In?”"Who’s Out?” above just elected Ronald Reagan that made my heart sink. After all Reagan was’in’ and Lennon was ‘out’. I then noticed the smaller headline below the photo “Fitting together the pieces of a complicated jigsaw puzzle…” as well as the fact that Richard Nixon’s book The Real War was in the foreground of the picture at Reagan’s right hand side. I pulled that book off the shelf and, literally, opened right to the page where Nixon writes: “The ‘Trendies’…who say ‘war’ is ‘bad’ and ‘peace’ is ‘good’…must be removed from the stage of public debate…by whatever means…a flyswatter…are needed…”
I felt I had just stumbled, indeed, onto government codes about John’s death hidden in the headlines of Time magazine.

Yes, government codes. Lots and lots of them.

A cruel man might point to this and say, okay, here is a guy who seriously just needs to step away from his computer and take a walk. That same cruel man might look at this random assortment of “proof” and see a mind so deeply entrenched in paranoia that it’s more worthy of pity than scorn. Or that cruel man might say that Steve Lightfoot is pure, distilled, plutonium-enriched weapons-grade crazy.

But I am not that man.

A furor has been stirred up over a school in Illinois assigning the play Angels in America as a reading assignment for high-school students.

Let’s see how one web-sites reader’s respond:

Abolish government schools. Let parents decide whether their kids are subjected to this tripe.

Christians, look at what a couple of the pornography apologists in this thread have said already. Not only is there no acknowledgement whatsoever that parents may have legitimate complaints here, they’re *advocating* the disputed material. What would compromise look like to these people?

the time has come for serious Christians to mount a full bore effort to do away with American public schools, which by any standard, including the appropriateness of literature, has become a bureaucratic albatross with a lack of rigorous curriculum and at best mediocre students.

Let the gay advocates fund their own private schools, and the Christians theirs. Basically, as it now is the American schools are infested with teachers like Scroop Moth who are consciously involved in polluting young minds with hard-edged liberal secularism.

this is akin to sexual exploitation of CHILDREN, yes, CHILDREN (even in High School). I’ve had it with the overstimulation and sexualization of kids. This is not “cultural enlightenment” but, rather, cultural debasement of our young people at a time when they need anything BUT.

This is more of the same: disturbing and disgusting indoctrination.

And, Harrison, while I agree with the net-thrust of your point, I still believe it is important NEVER to concede ground on of safe and normal heterosexual behavior. Yes, it is unpopular. Yes, it makes me (to the popular culture)a “bigot” but, really, we cannot forget the design in human kind which is wholesale being discarded with steamroller efficiency. No matter how many times they attempt to brainwash the next generation of public school children, it isn’t right behavior…it is sinful, it is unsafe, it is shame-producing and death-resulting. Lust is not love and every inclination of the heart and whim of the will should NOT NOT NOT be followed, no matter how intoxicating.

The gayness is an issue.

What’s wrong with “innocence”? I’m 40 years old, and I still strive for innocence of evil. I’d never read this book. (I’d skim if it I were on the school board or otherwise had a reason to need to read it. As a regular citizen, I don’t need to read it, and shan’t.) Years ago I picked up The Color Purple. I knew little about it except that it was considered quality literature about the black experience. Somewhere into it, I thought, Is this going where I think it’s going? (Hints of lesbian sex.) I read a little more, and it clearly was. Now, I rarely, rarely start a book and don’t finish it, even if I don’t like it. That book didn’t get finished. Why? I’m an adult, but I value my innocence.

I don’t believe that parents who take a strong stand against OR love their kids can stand by and watch . . corrupt literature, sexual training within schools, be it homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, or training kids ‘how’ to have sex can keep their kids in public school.

Even in High School there is no need for this explicit education into various forms of sex, or choices, etc.

The liberal ideas of nonsensical teachers and administrators have gone so far, most can’t remember (back when I was a kid) when parents were the controlling factor in their child’s education. . . when parents wouldn’t stand for anything even remotely resembling this sort of pornographic so called ‘literature’- I’m sure there are the mindless, who claim “how can you judge literature”, well it sure doesn’t take a great mind to see that what has been posted as a TOPIC is trash.

Are the teachers in our public schools so undereducated, and deluded by their own sexual perversion that they have to foist it on the rest of us? Is this world so lacking in ‘REAL LITERATURE’ or do we need to fill in the gaps with trash.

My question is “WHY would any thinking, educated person call this ‘literature’? How obtuse can one be?

The fictional future universe of the Warhammer 40k franchises is a dark and dangerous place where humanity, led by a willfully ignorant and belligerent theocratic bureaucracy, struggles to survive against all manner of threats from within and without.

So what do the people of the imaginary 41st Millennium think of homosexuality? An important question, and one brought up in this thread from Black Industries’ official 40k RPG forum.

“Sergeant Brother” gets things rolling with a request for suggestions regarding something another game master would have handled in-group:

And it made me wonder about how sex is viewed generally within the Imperium. I kinda get the impression that many professions within the Imperium are a kind of cleric who would seem to be celibate. It seems like both the Cleric and Tech Priests would be chaste and celibate, though I haven’t seen any specific mention of anything like that. I kinda feel like psykers might be too, or at least encouraged not to have sex or romantic relationships - and the player who asked me about homosexuality is playing a psyker character.

Does anybody know about any fluff sources that address the issue of sex, love, and romance in the Imperium or have any theories or feelings on what is typically expected from different careers in this regard?

…and surprisingly enough, the discussion begins rather reasonably with members attempting to extrapolate answers from two decades’ worth of contradictory officially published material. Not that there aren’t occasional hints of things to come.

“grimsnagga” evokes the Lord of Pleasure:

All of that said, and agreed with, let’s not forget dear ol’ Slaanesh, the chaos-god of BDSM. On the one hand, I think the Imperium’s approach to sexuality in general would vary depending on the culture of the world you’re on. On the other hand, wandering into the murkier side of alternative lifestyles definately runs the risk of entering into the realm of the Prince of Chaos. Therefore, I would expect behaviors of that nature would be strictly condemned and preached against.

..while “Monomachy” issues an all-caps mandate:

AS CITIZENS OF THE IMPERIUM IT IS YOUR COLLECTIVE DUTY TO REPRODUCE AND ENSURE ITS CONTINUATION.

…and “Luddite” offers an itinerary for an Imperium sex cruise:

In reality (real world)’ sexual norms are culturally derived and i see no reason why there wouldn’t be a similar disprate set of attitudes across the worlds of the Imperium.

Victori IV - heavily influenced by the Ecclesiarchy and a rigid morailty, any sex other than ‘married for procreation’ is seen as ‘dirty’ and criminalised.

Attica Primas - amod the columns and agoras, homosexuality and pederasty are the sexual norms.

Neo Jorvik - sexual promiscuity and personal choice are the norms with all forms accepted.

Drudge’s World - everyone works too hard to even consider sex…except during winter when the ‘baby-making season’ ensues as the fields cannot be tilled and there’s nothing else to do.

Xinxiang - You must have a license to commit sex…

Lolitas - consenting age is puberty, and sexual pairing is made by parent councils, with the first couplings being openly before the council…

Bonobos - the sex between all sexes is used as social bonding…

The options are entire yours to define…

Then “Heretek” decides to let the Nazis out of the bag…

True enough but after reading a particularly ignorant post I just thought I’d have my 2 cents heard… As for gays and fascist regimes… I don’t think personally it would have been an issue.. look at the ancient greeks for one, as long as you were doing your duty (which included breeding) no one cared… The Nazis were also particularly lenient when it came to this for the most part… I could suggest a few good books on it, Hitlers actual sexual preference is also an open question… so as far as being “Gay” or otherwise in a quasi fascist order can be handled what difference does it really make? there is no canon nor most likely will there will there ever be any.. Unless we get Hotties of the Soritas pin up girl calanders and Hunks of the Black Templar’s playgirl edition…lol… I mean really it just ends up being what ever one wants it to be and it should stay there.

…and just so no one gets the wrong idea, he has read books…lots of them:

I’m not ignorant to the facts, to the contrary I’ve done a considerable amount of reading and research on the subject of the sexual politics and fascism, the ideas I’ve read expressed on fascism, in this forum in general is a Anglo demonization of the fascist movement, it’s not 1942 anymore please stop with the wartime propaganda that has already been disproved… anyway I’m not responding to this anymore since it’s a history lesson nor am I implying that fascists are nice people, nor denying the holocaust or that the gay movement and Nazism had anything to do with one another except that individuals who were gay were both involved and prospered in fascist states…

It’s a shame the moderators temp-banned him after that, I had the feeling he was just getting warmed up…
